Nonlinear magnetoimpedance and parametric excitation of standing spin waves in a glass-covered microwire

چکیده
The giant magnetoimpedance of an 8.5 m glass-covered amorphous microwire was investigated in the frequency range of 10 MHz–3.5 GHz. It was found that when the exciting microwave current exceeds some threshold value, a periodic fine structure appears in the frequency dependence of the complex impedance. The appearance of this nonlinear phenomenon is interpreted to be a consequence of the parametric excitation of standing spin waves. © 2009 American Institute of Physics. DOI: 10.1063/1.3079659

Combination Resonance of Nonlinear Rotating Balanced Shafts Subjected to Periodic Axial Load
Dynamic behavior of a circular shaft with geometrical nonlinearity and constant spin, subjected to periodic axial load is investigated. The case of parametric combination resonance is studied. Extension of shaft center line is the source of nonlinearity. The shaft has gyroscopic effect and rotary inertia but shear deformation is neglected. The equations of motion are derived by extended Hamilto...

This study investigates that the sound wave propagation of multiferroic thermo elastic Nanofibers under the influence of surface effect and parametric excitation via Timoshenko form of beam equations. The equation of analytical model is obtained for Nanofiber through shear and rotation effect. The solution of the problem is reached through the coupled time harmonic equations in flexural directi...
متن کاملExcitation of propagating spin waves in ferromagnetic nanowires by microwave voltage-controlled magnetic anisotropy.
The voltage-controlled magnetic anisotropy (VCMA) effect, which manifests itself as variation of anisotropy of a thin layer of a conductive ferromagnet on a dielectric substrate under the influence of an external electric voltage, can be used for the development of novel information storage and signal processing devices with low power consumption. Here it is demonstrated by micromagnetic simula...

In this study the interaction between self-excited and paramet rically excited oscillations in two-degree-of-freedom systems with quadratic nonlinearities is investigated. The fundamental parametric resonance of the first mode and 3:1 internal resonance is considered, followed by 1:2 internal and parametric resonances of the second mode. The method of multiple time scales is applied to derive f...
متن کاملParametric autoresonance in Faraday waves.
We develop a theory of parametric excitation of weakly nonlinear standing gravity waves in a tank, which is under vertical vibrations with a slowly time-dependent ("chirped") vibration frequency. We show that, by using a negative chirp, one can excite a steadily growing wave via parametric autoresonance. The method of averaging is employed to derive the governing equations for the primary mode....
